In our commitment to supporting your financial well-being and improving the comfort of your homes, the Ministry of Sustainability and Climate Resiliency is delighted to introduce the Home Energy Efficiency Retrofit (CHEER) Programme. We are pleased to announce that Resilience Cayman has been entrusted to oversee the implementation of this initiative on behalf of the ministry.
The CHEER Programme aims to provide practical solutions to help you save money while enhancing the overall energy efficiency of your home. Through this programme, eligible participants can access various measures and upgrades that will contribute to reducing energy consumption and increasing the comfort and sustainability of their homes.
Your household may be eligible for specialised energy-saving upgrades, such as insulation, air conditioning, LED lighting, and energy-efficient appliances, if:
To be eligible for the programme, applicants should satisfy the following criteria:
· You are Caymanian;
· You own your home and you are living in it;
· Your total household income is CI$4000/month or less;
· Your home is no more than 2,500 square feet gross floor space; and,
· Your monthly energy consumption is 2000 kWh or more.
Additionally, you'll receive a free energy audit from a qualified energy professional.
